Imperial College London

We’ve recently seen students from many universities requiring our thesis and dissertation binding services. Previously we’ve highlighted King’s College London and UCL but in recent weeks we’ve also seen many undergraduate and PhD theses coming in from Imperial College London, for both soft and hard thesis binding, so thought we’d highlight the university here.

Imperial College London (full title: The Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine) is based primarily in London and is a public research university. It has a reputation for excellence in both teaching and research, with over 40 departments centered around 4 faculties: Natural Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and its Business School. It has its main campus in South Kensington – with a main entrance on Exhibition Road right in the heart of London’s museum quarter – boasting the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum as close its neighbours. It also has campuses in Chelsea & Paddington in London and Silwood Park in Berkshire, as well as a medical school in Singapore which is operated in partnership with Nanyang Technological University. It is home to over 14,400 students and has an impressive 12½:1 student to staff ratio.

Recently Imperial College London ranked at number 10 in the world and 3rd in Europe in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It also came first in the ‘Job Prospects’ category in the What Uni Student Choice Awards 2014. This impressive employability facet is further strengthened by the 2012 New York Times survey which asked thousands of recruiters, chosen from top companies around the world, to rank the world’s universities according to how employable their students are. Imperial College London came in at an impressive 9th position – in the world – so clearly their students are highly valued, globally. More information about Imperial College London, and the opportunities on offer, can be found on their website.

The Document Centre welcomes their current and future students, as well as other university students in the UK and abroad, and can provide them with high quality, fast turnaround thesis binding services. Produced to each university’s exact specification, disserations and theses can be uploaded to The Document Centre’s online thesis binding system. PDFs documents are uploaded and The Document Centre then print out and bind however many copies the student requires. The system even allows each copy to be delivered to a different postal address. Students who are more local to London or who are on a tight budget can also post or drop off their thesis if they have already printed it out to a suitable high standard, then The Document Centre will simply make up the professionally-produced covers and then bind them all together. Optional extras include foil blocked lettering to covers and spines, register ribbons, pockets for CDs and even burning or duplication of CDs and DVDs. More information on thesis binding services can be found here.
