To see examples of our bookbinding in action, head over to our Pinterest profile and view our Bookbinding Projects pin board. Here you will see a growing collection of images taken of live jobs which come through our bookbinding workshop. Each also includes useful textual information describing what the job entailed. Some jobs shown comprise totally new bookbinding tasks, for example a newly printed book which also required a snazzy hardbound cover and end sheets plus maybe a full colour image on the front (we do lots of one-off books for the creative industries including designers and architects, as well as presentation books and commemorative gift books for special occasions like anniversaries and retirements etc.). Other jobs featured might include book restoration and repair, for example an old, much-loved, Holy Bible which we’ve given brand new hardback covers with shiny gold foil lettering to the cover and spine and often decorative embossing too. Other examples show whole volumes of documents or even magazines or periodicals all bound up in order, into several individually bound volumes for easy future reference on the customer’s shelf (often undertaken for the likes of accountants and lawyers who require important industry-related publications to be kept on file in an easy reference format). The gallery (or pin ‘board’ in Pinterest parlance) will grow over time as we add more examples to it.
Other pin boards include ‘Thesis binding’, ‘Interesting bookbinding from around the world’, Bookbinding techniques’ and ‘Printing & Duplication’.
