This innovative, hard-bound, bespoke bookbinding example features pages held in place by ‘interscrew’ studs. These allow the customer to open the binder and add, remove or re-order pages at any time they choose. In this instance, the customer also wanted the book or binder to work like an iPad case so we integrated a multi-fold cover so that it could be folded back, as you can see in the photograph. This makes for an unusual and truly memorable book. The cover was produced using a high quality, coloured, textured paper which also features silver foil lettering and the interior pages were also printed by us here at The Document Centre.
This is just one example of the many kinds of bespoke bookbinding we can offer at The Document Centre here in our shop just near London Bridge. Of course, we also do professional book restorations and repairs. More information about our bespoke bookbinding services is available here — or simply call us on 0207 928 9738 and we’d be delighted to help with your next bespoke bookbinding, repair or restoration project. You can also see larger versions of the photos above, plus more examples of other bookbinding work we’ve produced, in our online photograph gallery (click the images for more information).
