Pinterest has now been added to The Document Centre’s list of social media profiles. For those who don’t yet know, Pinterest is a ‘visual discovery’ tool where users can view or ‘pin’ photos on an interactive ‘pin board’. You can pin your own photos, photos from websites or re-pin existing pins onto your own board, for example to make up a collection of photos relating to a particular interest. People usually make up several pin boards and each usually centres around a particular topic or niche. The Document Centre has kicked things off with several pin boards which include Bookbinding Projects to highlight photos of interesting binding jobs which have come into the workshop, Interesting Bookbinding From Around The Worldwhich has already proved to be very popular, Thesis BInding which highlights photos of bound theses for university students and Bookbinding Techniques which shows photos of diagrams and graphics explaining useful information relating to bookbinding and those wishing to have try it themselves. Drop by regularly (or ‘follow’ our Pinterest Profile – or any one or more of our boards) as we will be adding pins (photos) and boards regularly.
